¶ Updates and Issues
General remarks:
- Arrow is on CRAN again
- SW: Still a required package but takes a substantial amount of time to build
- DA: Everytime we want to test a new package it creates a new environment also for arrow, takes a lot of time - Circle CI caches this
- MS: v14 is the newest version of the package
- Paper: Juan and Xavier requested feedback (deadline tonight?)
Disclosure issues:
SW: Trying to get feedback on interim procedure.
Updating testing Armadillo
- Profile kept being in permissive mode.
- Not sure if Armadillo permissive
To do list on wiki → feedback on what the priorities are would be useful.
Opal python client:
DA:
Working on Cox regression
Theme meeting next week
TC:
Group works in Stata and very specific function not available in R, they might want to build their own R package
- MS: If it exists in Python, there is a Python package that can run R
OBIBA updates (YM):
move to more recent Java version. From 8 to at least 17.
Already a Rock snapshot available, but work in progress.
- SW: useful website: https://endoflife.date/
- MS: Armadillo uses Java19 - should move to 21 but for see some issues, some people had issues with Redhat when wanting to upgrade from 19 to 21
Armadillo updates (MS):
- Upgrades for several servers to Armadillo v4.1.3 done.
- Extended release test script with cases for DataSHIELD R packages that are most used in combination with Armadillo
- Worked on metrics and actuator in Armadillo
- Worked on UI part of the views
MSw: In another meeting: see how monitoring Armadillo and what already exists (in Rock) compare
- Clemens is already looking into what already exists in Rock
- YM: information about logging format
SW: how to build a package that can do data shaping?
DA: Trying to solve a problem related to dsHelper client side package in context of dsLite, getting an error that dsBase is missing, not being able to install (not being found after installation). MS: use install.packages and include OBIBA Cran URL instead of Github.
