2026-01-14 - these are awaiting further edits hence agreement was postponed to next meeting.
Not much to report
Did a release - mostly catch-up release - ds base functionality added
Mostly been progress/working on Armadillo for the moment.
Creating a test dashboard to have human readable out put of packages. Part of the desire to have a system that shows we are testing stuff prior to installation. Should make deployment smoother for people.
Disclsosure concern being looked at by response risk process.
There's a new version of Opal, currently being tested. Updtes related to the type of database compatible, installation with kubernetes. Also updates on log in (authenticate) information, using openID.
New release for Armadillo in the next couple of weeks, bugs etc.
No real updates other than thinking about workshops for conference next year
Feel like it's stalled a bit unless it's determined how to proceed with the website, linkedin etc
LinkedIn, could change the name to DataSHIELD Community page
Could discuss in Process Theme and discuss how we're going forward
Eleanor / Angela don't have time to do stuff...does anyone have a student who would be interested in helping out? Becca could contribute some of Sian Cunningham's time (e.g. half day a week, or just management of the linkedin page, or website updates, or whatever... need to agree what's useful: would be an in-kind contribution from Liverpool Research Group), but would only be for stuff linked to her research project.
Sian Cunningham is now maintaining the DataSHIELD PUMA instance, so database will be updated soon. Should also have a student coming again soon to help update the map of nodes/datasets to be fully automated.
Conference graphics and branding completed. Abstracts and registration to go live by Monday. Just testing payment methods
Visa requirements priority Abstract deadline 30th April with priority review (by 15 the May) of standard abstracts 15th May from those requiring visa applications. Poster deadline (until filled/15th September). Review 1st week June.
agreed with Tim two workshops: Tim, Dick and David to deliver the training with their full conference registrations charged to workshop delegates
Programme development: How long does the community updates slot require 2 hours end of day with poster session after? Will infrastructure updates from Opal/Armadillo (30 mins) be included in the theme updates or is a seperate core infrastructure updates session required - how long? encourage new members in themse.
A separate meeting to discuss another concern raised in the meetings had to date:
Relationships with research groups and research projects
